Annyeong-haseyo !
Do u know about Jeju Island, Korea?
Jeju Island, also known as the 'Island of the Gods',
it is located at the tip
of the Korean peninsula and very close to Japan.
Thus, the island is not
only popular among the Korean community, but also citizens of Japan.
This place is frequently used as a place for a honeymoon destination for Korean couples who recently married.
Situated in a most ideal setting, just 64 kilometers south of the
Korean Peninsula is Korea’s largest island, Jeju.
It is famous for ``three abundants,'' ― rock, women and
water
and
``three lacks'' ― thieves, gates and beggars.
Among unique
characteristics of the island are ``haenyeo,'' or woman divers, and
``jeongnang,'' three logs hung at the entrance of a house instead of a
gate.
Well, do you know what places you MUST VISIT in Jeju Island?

Jade-colored waters, fine white sand and gentle waves making it ideal

The natural freshwater springs on the beach are
very pretty and a good place to wash the salt water off when the tide is
low.
When
the tide is out there is lots of sand to play on.
The difference in
water level between low tide and high tide is approximately 2 meters. If
you want to play in the water then low
tide may be better.
tide may be better.
High
tide is good for proper swimming because the water is deeper.
Good

These experts have found stalactites and stalagmites growing in the caves, and note that normally such things are rarely found in lava caves.
These caves are now recognized as “golden lime” caves; due to the high concentration of calcium salts.
Stalactites can be recognized as tube-shaped structures growing downward from the ceiling of the cave and stalagmites are columns that grow from the floor up.
Both structures are formed from evaporated water containing calcium-bicarbonate.
Fossilized seashells, frozen lava, and numerous other structures enhance one’s journey through the caves.

The north and southeast sides of Jeju Island’s Seongsan Ilchulbong feature dramatic cliffs. The northwest slope, however, is a grassy field that connects the crater to Seongsan Village (성산마을).
In the spring, the area fills with bright yellow rapeseed flowers and
is perfect for horseback riding. “Seongsan” literally means “fortress
mountain”, and if you take an early morning hike to see the spectacular
sunrise between the naturally-formed turrets, I think you’ll agree that
the place deserves its name.
